Tower of Song

The 184,000 sq ft. Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts is a catalyst for creativity, using innovative design to foster inter-disciplinary communication and artistic experimentation among students, faculty, artists and community. Its eleven-story tower echoes the nearby Rockefeller Chapel and offers a 129-seat screening room above a grade-level café, topped by alternating theatre studios and arts classrooms, deliberately layered as buffer zones, with music practice and ensemble rooms mixed in. A double-height performance penthouse caps the tower, offering breathtaking views and supporting classes, rehearsals, performances, lectures and special events.

Adjustable Acoustics

The two-story podium covers painting and sculpting studios, a white-box exhibition gallery and a massive day-lit shop. An audio mix suite, two digital video finishing suites, and four multi-purpose suites offer state-of-the art audio and video technology for individual or small group work, plus video/film and digital media lab/classrooms for instruction and large group collaboration. An end-stage theater, a black box theater, and a highly flexible 474-seat performance hall offer a range of fully-equipped performance spaces for theater, music, dance, film, lecture and events that combine the various arts.
